Stands Chaperone Duties

**MUST BE LEVEL 2 APPROVED**

Stands Chaperones play an important role in helping keep our band students safe, organized, and supported throughout the game.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with water distribution and help ensure students stay hydrated.

• Monitor students for signs of heat exhaustion, dehydration, or other heat-related concerns and notify the appropriate staff member if assistance is needed.

• Supervise and assist with bathroom trips as needed.

• Help keep students together, organized, and in their designated areas.

• Keep an eye on student behavior and help maintain a safe and positive environment in the stands.

• Assist students with basic needs and direct any concerns to the appropriate band staff or leadership.

• Help ensure students are ready and accounted for when it is time to move to and from the stands.

• Provide an extra set of eyes to help maintain the safety, well-being, and comfort of all band students throughout the game.

Concessions Volunteer Duties

Concessions volunteers help ensure that the concession stand runs smoothly and efficiently during games and events.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with setting up the concession area before the event.

• Take customer orders and payments.

• Prepare and serve food and beverages.

• Operate or assist with the grill and other food preparation areas, as assigned.

• Keep food, drinks, and supplies stocked throughout the event.

• Maintain a clean and organized concession area.

• Follow proper food-handling and safety procedures.

• Assist with restocking supplies as needed.

• Help keep track of inventory and notify the concession lead when supplies are running low.

• Assist with cleaning and breaking down the concession area at the end of the event.

• Help ensure all equipment and supplies are properly stored.

Uniform Room Volunteer Duties

Uniform Room volunteers help ensure that all War Eagles Marching Band uniforms are organized, properly maintained, and ready for each performance.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with locating and receiving the correct uniform pieces.

• Help ensure students are dressed in the proper uniform before performances.

• Keep uniforms, accessories, and other items organized and properly stored.

• Assist with distributing uniforms before games and collecting them afterward.

• Help track uniform pieces and identify any missing items.

• Check uniforms for damage, stains, or needed repairs and report concerns to the appropriate person.

• Assist with basic organization, sorting, and preparation of uniforms for upcoming events.

• Help maintain a clean and organized uniform room.

• Help ensure all uniforms are properly returned and accounted for after each event.

Runner Volunteer Duties

Runners are the extra set of hands who help keep things moving smoothly during games and events.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver water, supplies, equipment, and other items to students and staff as needed.

• Pick up and deliver items between the band room, stands, field, concession area, and other designated locations.

• Assist with last-minute needs or requests from band staff and volunteers.

• Help retrieve forgotten or misplaced items when needed.

• Assist with moving small equipment, supplies, or personal items as directed.

• Help communicate needs between different volunteer areas and band staff.

• Help to relieve other areas for breaks in Concessions or in Stands as needed.

• Be available throughout the event to assist wherever additional help is needed.

• Help with setup and breakdown by transporting supplies and equipment to the appropriate locations.

• Respond promptly to requests while remaining aware of student safety and event activities.

Runners should be dependable, mobile, and ready to jump in wherever they are needed! 🦅💙❤️🤍
